I'm a self-taught artist, officially starting my art journey in Feb. 2019.

I had a very on-and-off relationship with art throughout my childhood, but the urge was there even when I didn’t act on it. In my second year of college, I started to get to a good place mentally and almost by accident, I made something that I didn't actually hate. And because I didn't hate it, I kept doodling. 

Shortly after, I made an Instagram account to share my art: @mintaka_art. I'm fairly bad at coming up with names, but this one meant something to me. Mintaka is one of the stars in Orion's belt, which is one of the first constellations I remember learning from my dad. I’ve since changed my username a few times, finally landing on Fairy Circle Studio due to my adoration of mushrooms (and fairies!).

My ADHD tends to draw me in to try many different things, so you'll probably notice a little lack of consistency across the store - and I'm perfectly okay with that. I love trying different styles and mediums to see what I can make on any given day.

I'm originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, but I moved to Southern Oregon in 2020. I've been trying to work on getting a shop set up on and off again for the last few years, but life gets in the way sometimes! I'm currently working a full-time job, and working on my hobbies in my free time.
